1) Where do I log- in to access my account?

On the front page, click on "Member Log In." This will bring you to the log in screen. Once in your account, click "My Account" to see your entire account view.

2) I have a Mac. Can I still use the website?

Yes! All you need is a current browser. We recommend the latest versions of Firefox for Macs or PCs or Internet Explorer for PCs.

3) What if I already have a database?

Usability and simplicity were the prime concerns while developing our database and we think you will agree once you try the demo. We can advise you on transferring your data, or you can have our knowledgeable staff conduct the data conversion for you. Please contact us for a quote and data conversion interview.

4) What type of documents and photographs can I upload?

For documents, you may upload any file type supported by your computer. We recommend PDFs because they are web-friendly. For images, we support only JPEG at this time.

5) Can I print or export my data?

Yes, you can print your data. You can print any screen, or use the report and export functions to use your information in other applications.

6) I need advice on how to start cataloguing my possessions.

We recommend that you develop an accession numbering system to keep track of your objects. This will come in handy if you have objects with similar titles, descriptions or makers.

7) How do I get updates? Do they cost anything?

Updates are automatic and free-of-charge for your current plan.

8) How do I upgrade from the free Basic Account to a Premium Account?

Upgrading is easy. Just click on the "Upgrade" link. You can find this once you log in on your "Account Information" page.

9) When can I access Collector Systems and see my data?

Collector Systems is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year provided you have an internet connection.

10) Is my personal information safe?

Collector Systems is committed to the highest levels of security and confidentiality in dealing with member data. Nothing is more confidential than information about your personal property. You have exclusive control over access to your account, and we cannot see your data. We ensure the privacy of your information by using the latest security technology.
