You have complete control over who accesses your collection data, what they can see, and what actions they can perform. Once you sign up, only the people whom you explicitly make part of your group can access your data. Each User has a unique login and password, and their activities can be tracked through the Collector Systems journal log within your domain. How do you ensure no one else can access my data? Our data center is both physically and logically secure. It is protected 24x7x365 by internal and external cameras, which are monitored by the Network Operations Center. The front door is protected by a badge reader system and badge access is required to enter the building. Before access to the actual data center area is permitted, one must first pass through the "man trap" area, which is a concrete hallway protected with a badge reader for initial access. One must then pass the biometric hand scanner, enter a mandatory personal security code and pass the security cameras to ensure physical and visual confirmation of identity. This entire process is monitored 24x7x365 by the Network Operations Personnel, and ONLY Collector Systems authorized personnel have physical access to our computers.
All sensitive customer data, even when being routed internally behind our Firewall, is sent over encrypted protocols. Not even Collector System employees can view your full collection information unless you authorize them. All collection information is sent over the internet using SSL Encryption. Can Collector Systems see my data? Your data belongs to you and no one at Collector Systems has access to your password. No one can see your information unless you authorize it or there is an unforeseen failure that requires repair. Usage information may be reported on in the aggregate to improve the product. How Do You Protect My Confidential Information? We will never provide any of your information to anyone for any reason. Please read our Privacy Policy. How reliable is Collector Systems Network and Internet Connection? All electrical power supplied by local utilities is sent to the data center via three separate power grids. All electrical connections are backed up using multiple battery backup systems. In the event of an extended outage, power is supplied to the data center using a diesel generator supplied with a 30 hour full-capacity storage and a proactive refueling contract with a local supplier. Internal atmospherics are monitored 24x7x365 to ensure that the temperature and humidity of the data center are providing an optimal environment for your servers and network equipment. Overall data center security is provided using multiple levels of security including camera surveillance, key card access, biometric hand scanning and 24x7x365 on-site personnel. Connectivity to the Internet is provided via multiple, physically diverse high-speed OC3 connections. Collector Systems' internal network is 100% hardware redundant, with dual load-balanced network cards in EVERY Collector Systems server. All servers are connected to dual fail-over switches at all multi-connection points within our network. Firewalls are implemented at the core router and internal network level. Do you backup my data? Yes. Collector Systems protects your collection by storing your critical collection data on firewall-protected servers using fault tolerant drive arrays. In addition to always maintaining two copies of your data on our redundant servers to help ensure that a hardware failure will not affect you, the Collector Systems automatically backs up your data every day at our data center on- and off-site so that your critical collection information is always protected and secure. We like to remind all visitors to our site of the importance of backing up data. Please email info@collectorsystems.com for more info.
